Christmas Cards 2021
As many of you know I make my own Christmas cards, except for 2020, I just ran out of time. This year I was determined to make cards. While at an antique store I found a good sized box of quilling supplies for $20, I’d always wanted to give it a try so I figured why not.
While finishing up the cards K and I sent some cards and gift cards out to our nieces and nephew. Same size and weight everything. One went through, the other two came back needing extra postage. Okay, weird but whatever. An extra stamp and off they went. I finish my cards, weigh a couple of them to make sure they would be under the correct weight after the gift card issue, and off they went.
Well, off half of them went. For some reason half of them came back wanting more stamps. Okay, they all should have been under the acceptable weight, but if not how did half of them make it?! Among the ones returned a few didn’t have the “need extra postage” stamp, but they’d come with the others so I added an extra stamp and dropped them back in the box. Those few came back! UCK! So I need to add even MORE postage to them and send them out AGAIN. So a few more cards need to go back out, and I will have put three stamps on something that should have taken only one. Thanks USPS.
